THE DOMAINE DU GROSBOIS OPENS ITS DOORS TO CHILDREN AS IT HOSTS THE 6TH “PONIES”

Notez

The 2020 pony trotting season on the tracks is heralded by the 6th Pony Trot Gala Day, to be held on Saturday, March 14th, from 10:00 to 18:00 at the Domaine de Grosbois.

This unusual day combines entertainment, competitions, dining and prize-giving to give pony trot aficionados the opportunity to relax in a magical setting where history has left its mark.

The day’s programme includes: inflatable play areas, ridden and driven trotting races on the chateau track for 7 to 18 year olds, along with the new baby driver competition for 4 to 6 year olds with a parent. There will be the opportunity for junior drivers to take the Trot exams levels 1 to 4, and for beginners to go through the qualification process which will give them accreditation to take part in pony trot races at racetracks. The younger siblings of our drivers will discover trotter ponies on wheels in the chateau courtyard. Our favourite cartoonist, Joyeux, will be available to draw our young friends, and a stand full of cakes, drinks and candy will be available for all those made hungry and thirsty by all the hard work.

At the end of this gala day, there will be a gathering at the Trot History Museum to raise a glass together and give prizes for 2019 to pony trot drivers. There will also be a draw to select the young junior drivers who will make up the French team to defend France’s colours in the various stages of the World Summer Cup Pony in Belgium, Denmark and Spain, with the final taking place at the Cagnes-sur-Mer racetrack .

Dear friends, young and old, we are looking forward to this exciting 6th Pony Troy Gala Day!
